It's the season for new hit movies to splash their way onto the big screens, and this summer it's going to be blazing hot. Action, comedy and many sequels will be filling up the movie theaters. Somewhere in between all the fun in the sun be sure you take some time to catch these films, because they are all looking like they will be must sees!

To start off the summer a little early, Columbia Pictures, and director Ron Howard, are bringing us "Angels and Demons," which will be released to theaters May 15. A prequel to "The Da Vinci Code", this movie stars Tom Hanks, Ewan McGregor and Ayelet Zurer, to name a few. Killings and clues all around the Vatican leave symbologist Robert Langdon, played by Tom Hanks, with a short time to piece a puzzle together and figure out how to stop the attacks.

With "The Da Vinci Code" being such a big hit, and the "Angels and Demons" book by Dan Brown catching everyone's attention, the movie is sure to stir up some controversy. This action-packed film was described in an interview with Tom Hanks as "a horse race against time."

Next on our summer line up is "Terminator: Salvation" which hits the big screens on May 21. This will be the fourth in the sequel of Terminator movies, and the buzz about this one is traveling fast. Christian Bale is tearing through movie screens again this summer as the star of this film with other actors such as Sam Worthington, as well as an appearance from Common, the well-known rapper. The setting for this film is 2018, and it's a battle between the humans and the terminators once again.

Let's take a break from all the action and do a little traveling up, up and away. Pixar releases their new film "Up" on May 29th. Christopher Plummer is the star of this movie, along with Edward Asner and Jordan Nagai. Carl Fredricksen, voice by Edward Asner, is a 78-year-old whose dream is to travel to South America. His journey begins with him tying thousands of balloons to his house, but soon enough he is not alone on this adventure, as he finds Russell, who is 70 years younger, being a tag-a-long.

While the plot may seem a little strange, it is Pixar, and have they ever let us down? The graphics will most likely be no less than amazing. This seems like the kind of movie you can relax to, and I think it will be a must see.

On June 24 Michael Bay brings us the long anticipated and awaited for sequel to "Transformers." "Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen" is going to be blowing up the big screens. Megan Fox, Shia La Beouf, Josh Duhamel and Tyrese Gibson are a few of the many cast in this energetic film.

"Revenge is coming" is the tagline for this movie, and all the Transformers fans are waiting for it. Megatron is back, looking for revenge, and the battle on Earth is on again. "Transformers" rocked the film industry hopefully this one will be bigger and better.

Taking a step away from all the sequels, Michael Mann brings us "Public Enemies," which will hit the screens on July 1. The excitement for this flick is already brewing. The cast is fiery with Christian Bale, Johnny Depp and Channing Tatum all in the front lineup. This film is in the crime/drama genre and looks to be an attention keeper.

The FBI and a famous bank robber one what makes this film's plot light up. It follows the true story of a legendary bank robber from the dark days of the Great Depression. John Dillinger, played by Johnny Depp, gives the FBI a chase to remember.

Ending our summer movie preview, directed by David Yates, is "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince," which opens up in theaters July 15. The original trio: Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint come back in full force. The film is based off the sixth book in the Harry Potter series.

Fans have been long awaiting the release of this film. During Harry Potter's sixth year at Hogwarts, he discovers a book that leads him into the dark past of Lord Voldemort. As with all the other Harry Potter films, this one is sure to bring excitement, thrill and fantasy gleaming through the big screen.

Moviegoers will have a jam-packed summer filled with action, drama and fantasy thrillers. The movies this summer don't look like they will disappoint, but provide us with the entertainment we have been needing.
