Solano College Theatre proudly presents "The Comedy of Errors" at the Harbor Theatre in Downtown Suisun on 720 Main St. starting Oct. 11 running to 28, 2007. Directed by Julian López-Morillas , "The Comedy of Errors" is a hysterical farce by William Shakespeare. SCT's production will be set in the eastern Mediterranean in 1910.

In this most uproarious of Shakespeare's comedies, nothing is certain and everything is up for grabs! "The Comedy of Errors" is an absurd tale of two sets of identical twins separated at birth (of course) who unknowingly end up in the same city, leading to a day of confusion that reunites them. Identities transform so rapidly that even the characters themselves begin to doubt who they are and no one, even the audience, can be sure of what is what and who is who.

One of Shakespeare's most popular plays, Comedy is a farce that has adapted to every age. Shakespeare borrowed the plot from Roman playwright Plautus ' the Menaechmi, while Plautus borrowed ideas for his play from Greek predecessors. Much later, Richard Rogers and Lorenz Hart turned The Comedy of Errors into the hit Broadway musical The Boys from Syracuse. Rated PG.

"The Comedy of Errors" brings together a cast from throughout the North Bay. Included are: Joshua Bross, Michael Cutsinger, Steward Evan Smith from Vacaville, Justin DuPuis, Matthew Robinson, David Schuster, PhD, from Vallejo, Candice Gniech, Molly Millett, Tateyana Hendricks, Justin Adrian Hernandez, Rachel Quinonez, Stephanie Rivas, Krystle Strachan from Fairfield, Vivian Kane, from Novato, Steven Mox, Sean Scofield from Vacaville, and Trevor Wright, from Rio Vista.

Admission is $10 for students (with valid student ID) and children, Seniors/Military $12, and regular adult admission ranges from $12 - $20. Preview night is $12.
