The sweeping orchestrations of the Solano music department and the graceful dancers of the Benicia Ballet theatre will come together on stage this summer for their production of “Swan Lake.”

Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s 1876 ballet about a princess turned into a swan by an evil sorcerer and her adventures with a young prince has been adapted countless times (and was even the center of the 2010 film “Black Swan”), and it will be performed at Solano Community College for two nights. For those hoping to witness a blend of classical music, dancing, and emotion, “Swan Lake” will make for a great experience.

The show will be performed at 7 p.m. on June 9 and 2 p.m. on June 10 at the Campus Theatre. Tickets will be available at the box office and are $22 for adults, $18 for students and military, and $15 for students.
