Operation of the Solano Community College bookstore may be contracted to Barnes and Noble, according to college governing board documents . The governing board will rule on the proposal at tonight’s meeting. The proposal includes a $200,000 sign-on bonus, and guarantees a minimum income of  $350,000 per year plus a percentage of sales to the college. The proposal also includes a contribution of $15,000 for a student scholarship through ASSC, and would keep  the current bookstore employees.  The proposal is recommended for approval by Superintendant/President Jowell Laguerre and Yulian Ligioso, vice president of finance and administration, documents show.
