Athletics Department to honor community members

Seven individuals have been inducted in to the Athletics Department Hall of Fame this year including soccer player/coach Andrea Salvador, basketball player La Star Brown, basketball coach Kevin Chaney, baseball/football player Mike Campas, volleyball player Kaitlyn Van Der Wende, football player Mike Gibson and baseball player Jim Sanderson. The Athletics Hall of Fame Committee has honored players, coaches and administrators for 17 years and will be hosting a banquet on Oct. 1 at the Hilton Garden Inn. The event is open to the public. Tickets are $50 for adults and $20 for children 5-12 years old.
