Feeling like a typical Falcons' game Solano took out Napa Valley's first at-bat in about three minutes. But with a scoreless game in the second the Falcons were not pleased when Napa got a home run. And it wouldn't be their last.

In the third the Falcons tied the game when Drew Fisher, who is in the line up due to player injuries, did well by scoring Jason Quintos on his single. Calen Yost bumped the score to 2-1 when he scored Bryan Aldridge after Matt Esler's single had advanced Aldridge to third. The momentum kept moving as catcher Ryan Lipkin, scored Esler. The designated hitter, Nic Donaldson sacrificed in order to get Yost home ruining Napa's lead with a 5-1 score.

Solano's exciting inning got slightly trumped when Napa scored three runs in the fourth. But pitcher Kris Cole ended their streak with a strikeout of Napa Valley.

The next few innings went quite fast due to a good defense from Solano and Napa. But the sixth brought on more pressure for the Falcons as the Storm hit another home run. The heat stayed strong as Napa's next batter stole second but fortunately he could not complete his quest for home due to excellent outfielding by A.J. Contreras and Esler.

In the seventh Mahon relieved the Falcon's starter, Kris Cole. In his effort to pick off Napa at first, Mahon's throw backfired allowing the Napa base runner to take two bases and secure himself on third. He was then immediately scored by Napa's next hitter.

With a score of 6-5 for Napa, Mike McDaniel was brought to the mound. With two outs, McDaniel aimed to eliminate Napa's next hitter but the Storms batter hit a single scoring another run.

Napa's lead of 7-6 in the eighth was put to an end as Lipkin's double gave Yost another run bringing the game to a tie once again.

After closer Eric Nyquist took the mound in the ninth, Napa's batter hit a single and then ran to third on a passed ball. Napa earned two more runs on a routine ground ball and error in centerfield by Esler.

Although the bottom of the ninth opened with anxiety it was immediately relieved by Ryan Shook's home run. The tenseness returned with Esler's strikeout and Yost's ground out leaving two outs on the board and a score of 9-8 for Napa.
