Solano defeated De Anza at home by the score of 11 to 10, despite the valiant comeback effort by the visitors.
The Falcons were able to get out to an early lead, but began to relax and allowed De Anza to make it close.
"We had to remind our team not to back off at all, put them away if we can." Said Falcons head coach Scott Parrish.
"We had very good set defense, but our counter defense needs work," added Parrish.
Last year the Falcons had a 5-2, which gave them third place in conference.
Solano has an overall record of 7-13, but have gotten off to a great conference start of 3-1.
Ryan Robles scored five goals for Solano, while Nate Owen and Sean MALANADO added two a piece.
Goalie Jon Morris has been having a good freshman season, and recorded 15 saves in the game against De Anza.
The Falcons play again at home against West Valley College on Oct. 24.
