Bright and early Monday morning, students were greeted by a closed-down eating area and tables and chairs set up in the lobby of the student center. The long-awaited 1400 renovation has begun, and this means changes for the students.

Café manager Gina Yoo confirmed that the she would not be changing hours during the renovation, which may last until the spring semester.

In the meantime, cafeteria patrons will have to make do with the temporary accommodations of tables and chairs in the student lobby.

The bathrooms will soon be shut down when work starts to pick up, but fear not. The current plan is to bring in a trailer set up with temporary restroom facilities for the students.

The bookstore is open in its usual space and is keeping normal hours, but is slated to start renovations in February.

Rather than denying the student body of their books and other bookstore goodies, they will be setting up shop in the back half of the cafeteria while their space is being worked on.
