The Solano Community College men's basketball team beat Mendocino College 83-80 Wednesday night.
The Falcons (7-17, 5-7 BVC) took a one-point lead with under a minute to go, and held on for the victory.
"We played hard and made some big free throws and shots down the stretch," said head coach John Nagle. "My guys are working very hard and their fighting."
Darnell Grier contributed 27 points, E.J. Greenwood scored 14, and Kyle James chipped in 12.
"I had to step up in the end," said Grier. "We had a few bumps in the beginning (of the season), now we're getting going."
