The Solano Community College police department was called to control a campus brawl that broke out at about 1 p.m. Tuesday in front of the 100 building.
"It was about eight kids total, but only one got caught," said SCC student Melissa Hansen.
Although by the time campus police department arrived, they were only able to question one alleged assailant as he was being helped into the back of an ambulance. Witnesses confirm that there were more people involved.
"They took him out the back of the police car three times before they finally called the ambulance," said Michelle Pottinger, SCC student.
Former student body president Lorenzo Phillips, said by the time he arrived, the young man was shaking on the ground while lying on his back in handcuffs.
"He was yelling at the officer that he was just coming back from football practice and he was not on drugs. He was also telling him that he was running for his life."
Campus police was called for more information but have yet to return our calls.

What do the police love more than anything? If you guessed screaming, belligerent young people, well... you'd be the guy on the ground in handcuffs.
If anybody used the words "police brutality" or "unfair treatment" with regard to how this fellow was treated, my guess is they would've been on the ground beside him, wondering why they were the subject of such "unfair treatment. (Continued…)
