The No. 11 Solano Falcons women's basketball team will start the playoffs Saturday, with a visit to No. 6 College of the Siskioyus at 7 p.m.
The Falcons went undefeated in Bay Valley Conference play, 14-0 and with two wins in the playoffs, will advance to the state elite eight.
Head coach Matt Borchert is really hoping that his entire team will step-up and focused on two of his best players, Aliesha Kelly and third team all-state Angela Franklin.
"Hopefully the entire team will standout," said Borchert. "Hopefully they (Kelly and Franklin) standout for sure and maybe…do a little bit more than standout and really standout."
If the Falcons win, they would play the winner of the Sierra/Chabot game for a spot in the elite eight.
