John McCain just lobbed the country one whopper of a curveball by crowning Sarah Palin his Vice Presidential pick. In doing so, he picked as blank a slate as possible in the eyes of the nation. How the media will fill that space is the question. It's hard to make sense of why McCain went in the direction he did with Palin.
I have a hobby that might seem fairly quirky. I have white metal miniatures between two to three inches tall that I enjoy painting, and some people find that odd. That's fine, because not everyone understands what I enjoy about painting miniatures or even playing tabletop games with them.
