After a good season ending in a 5-2 conference record and a third place in the Bay Valley Conference, the Solano water polo team has received one last honor for the year. Several members of the team have received awards for their performance this year.
Freshmen TJ Friedman was awarded All-American status in community college water polo for the 2006 season. Friedman was voted as one of the top three water polo players in Northern California by Northern Californian coaches and one of the top players in the nation. He was also voted into the 1st team All Northern California and 1st team for the All Coast Conference.
Friedman also played through an injured shoulder and back and a case of tennis-elbow this season.
Stephan Dean, a sophomore, was voted 2nd team All Northern California and 2nd team All Coast Conference.
Todd Fahlstrom and Joe Morgan both received Honorable Mention in the All Coast Conference awards. Both athletes are sophomores this year.
